Fresh New Look

A few years ago, Bev and I saw an opportunity to move aka from our original home on Zetland Road, to a bigger premise on Gloucester Road, and it’s a decision we’ve never regretted. Since then, aka has continually evolved, with a focus on the development of our team and consistently offering our clients the best service and experience possible.

Over lockdown we had time think more about the business and decided it was a good time to go for a brand refresh. We loved our signature red but thought a more contemporary look would suit the salon as it is now.

Recently you may have noticed our bold black and white shop exterior and new colour palette inside the salon. I’m afraid I can’t take any credit for the aubergine and grey tones, (that’s all Bev’s work!) and the various plants were inspired by our amazing neighbour, Wild Leaf (if you have not been in there yet, you should, it’s like walking into a paradise of greenery!)

We also have this great new website, we are really happy with the new look as feel it reflects the salon and our fab team very well.

We hope you like all the little changes we’ve made. The last 18 months have not been the easiest for us (or any of our fellow independent businesses) and the support we have received from all our wonderful clients is very much appreciated and never taken for granted.
